About Kristina and Stan Deyo

Kristina Hadjieva Groetsch first arrived the United States in 1998. She comes from a family of jewelers and after finishing a five-year creative art and metalworking academy in Sofia, Bulgaria’s capitol, she earned a scholarship to the Philadelphia Art Institute. Achieving Certified Jeweler status allowed her to instruct in jewelry design and art. Traveling the globe for several years matured her artistic vision. During her journeys, Kristina participated in numerous jewelry design and mixed media art exhibitions. Upon her return to the States, she started a family with husband and business partner, Jared. Two daughters and a son complete their family in Pennsburg, PA, home of their company Black Sea Jewelers.

Stan Deyo graduated from the USAF Academy Prep School and received a congressional appointment to attend the USAF Academy with the Class of 1967 in the 22nd Squadron. In 1968 he left the Air Force to enter the private sector in Dallas, Texas where he was trained at IBM in mainframe programming languages, computer operations and systems analysis.

Garden of Eden Collection

In 2014, Stan Deyo delivered a public lecture to some 5,000 people announcing his discovery of the actual garden of Eden in northern Tanzania.

Coming from the very first family of precious metal casters in Bulgaria, Kristina has gone back to her roots, hand crafted precious metalwork, finished in Old World Black Sea style, which she is implementing in the creation of Stan Deyo’s Garden of Eden Jewelry Collection by Black Sea Jewelers.
